MANNEQUIN

My latest addition to the house is this lovely miniature mannequin. She arrived safely all the way from England, bought on my recent trip. It was just one of those things that you automatically fall in love with. To tell the truth I saw it over a year ago and always dreamt of having it.....so now she stands in my bedroom.
Questo è stato comprato nel mio ultimo viaggio in Inghilterra....un mannequino in miniatura......L'avevo visto gia un anno fa e sognavo di comprarlo.....adesso sta meravigliosamente in camera mia......bellissimo. 

LATEST BARGAIN

 It was love at first sight....I wasn't looking for a piece of furniture...but...in a second hand market  I saw this...could be useful I thought......for books....dinner services....linen.. Seems to be very sturdy with its wooden shelves......
In un nuovo mercatino dell'usato ho visto questo mobili che subito volevo comprarlo.....anche se non avevo neanchè in mente di comprare quel giorno un mobili del genere...Ma pensando potevo essere molto utili...per tutti miei libri....servizi di piatti...biancheria di casa..Sembra molto robusto con le mensole di legno.

Now I have to decide to paint it or not. My first idea was to give it a shabby chic look using a creamy white paint but I quite like the way it looks as it is...what would you do ?
Adesso devo decidere di lasciare il colore naturale o di dare un tocco shabby con la vernice bianco panna...cosa devo fare....avete qualche consiglio ?

At the weekend I will have to find the right place for it ...then to fill it up.
Questo weekend avro tempo di trovare essatamento il posto giusto di tenerlo...poi a riempirlo.....

SEWING ROOM

This week I have been trying to organise my craft room/corner.At the moment it is still under construction so I am showing just a few snippets of sewing clutter...as they say.I have just been to see if my favourite material was going into the sale...and luckily there will be a 20% discount so tommorrow I shall go and buy enough to make curtains   etc.....I still need to get some shelving for bits and bobs and probably I need also to buy a bookshelf for endless crafting books. This is a project I have been hoping to do for a few months now.....Obviously living in an appartment doesn't allow me to have a room just for me...so I am making use of part of the hallway.....hopefully by the end of the month it will be finished.
Sto organizzando lo spazio del mio angolo di creativita. Ovviamente abitando in un appartamento non mi lascia molto spazio ....sto utilizzando una parte del ingresso dove ho fatto costruire un muro per darmi un angolo tutto mio.Spero di riuscire da finire entro la fine del mese.Oggi ho visto la stoffa che ho bisogno per fare le tende....sara scontato dal 20%..domani.Ancora mi servono delle mensole e forse una libreria.....Sognavo sempre di avere una stanza per creare ma per adesso .......

APPLE TREE

Here I have made a kind of apple christmas tree with the decorations made in the previous post. This is a sweet little tree reserved for the corner in my kitchen I have also added some heart , star ,and tree shape cookie cutters. I love the sparkly apples they give a lovely glow at night. Now I must start to decorate the other tree for the living room. I shall show in my next post.Happy decorating everybody.
In un angolino della cucina ho trovato posto per questo piccolo albero dove ho appesso gli addobi realizzato nel post precedente. Ho appesso soltanto delle mele e formine delle biscotti . Adoro le mele ...certe brillano.....specialmente di sera. Adesso devo comminciare a addobbare l'altro per l'angolo in salotto.Buon divertimente con i vostri.

 Did I do the right thing by giving away this cupboard of mine.I was getting fed up with looking at the same old furniture and wanting a new look.Maybe I should of given it a second chance by giving it a new lick of paint...Farrow & Ball have some great shabby colours.What would you have done? Any ideas?  I maybe still in time to get it back......
Non so se ho fatto bene....ma ero un po annoiata con questo mobili....lo dato via...magari dovevo pensare due volte prima di aver fatto......ci sono delle vernice bellissime di Farrow & Ball molto shabby con quale potevo transformarlo ....per renderlo nuovo.Secondo voi ho fatto bene di darlo via ? Forse chi sa potrei re prenderlo.

 Does anyone know anything about this statue. My Mom found it ready to be thrown in the bin.She would be delighted if I could come up with any information. So please drop me a line .
