SEWING ROOM

This week I have been trying to organise my craft room/corner.At the moment it is still under construction so I am showing just a few snippets of sewing clutter...as they say.I have just been to see if my favourite material was going into the sale...and luckily there will be a 20% discount so tommorrow I shall go and buy enough to make curtains   etc.....I still need to get some shelving for bits and bobs and probably I need also to buy a bookshelf for endless crafting books. This is a project I have been hoping to do for a few months now.....Obviously living in an appartment doesn't allow me to have a room just for me...so I am making use of part of the hallway.....hopefully by the end of the month it will be finished.
Sto organizzando lo spazio del mio angolo di creativita. Ovviamente abitando in un appartamento non mi lascia molto spazio ....sto utilizzando una parte del ingresso dove ho fatto costruire un muro per darmi un angolo tutto mio.Spero di riuscire da finire entro la fine del mese.Oggi ho visto la stoffa che ho bisogno per fare le tende....sara scontato dal 20%..domani.Ancora mi servono delle mensole e forse una libreria.....Sognavo sempre di avere una stanza per creare ma per adesso .......

PATCHWORK ... CROSS STITCH...& PANETTONE

This is the quilt that I've been making at the patchwork group that I joined last october.All the pieces have been put together so now I have a long task to quilt it by hand.....
Questo é il lavoro che ho realizato durante i lezioni frequentato un paio di mese fa.Adesso devo trapuntarlo a mano ....che sarebbe un lavoro un po piu lungo....ma sono determinata a finirlo......

Now I think it's time for a break with a piece of panettone ( traditional italian xmas cake ).
Adesso penso che é ora di aprire questo delizioso panettone.Ho bisogno di qualcosa di dolce.

A couple of days ago I made a batch of savoury pancakes and as I dished up this last one I noticed that it resembled a snowmans face.....a bit strange really ....It made me laugh.......Can you see him smiling.

Un paio di giorni fa stavo preperando un po di crepes salati....questo era l'ultimo......quando lo messo sul piatto ho notato che assomigliava moltissimo a un omino bianco che sorrideva.......mi faceva ridere......Lo vedete ...........

APPLE TREE

Here I have made a kind of apple christmas tree with the decorations made in the previous post. This is a sweet little tree reserved for the corner in my kitchen I have also added some heart , star ,and tree shape cookie cutters. I love the sparkly apples they give a lovely glow at night. Now I must start to decorate the other tree for the living room. I shall show in my next post.Happy decorating everybody.
In un angolino della cucina ho trovato posto per questo piccolo albero dove ho appesso gli addobi realizzato nel post precedente. Ho appesso soltanto delle mele e formine delle biscotti . Adoro le mele ...certe brillano.....specialmente di sera. Adesso devo comminciare a addobbare l'altro per l'angolo in salotto.Buon divertimente con i vostri.

CREA-TIVE

 Just made these Today.So very sweet ...don't you think!
Oggi ho creato queste delizie....

 All you need to make them: 4 old pastry tins .(make a little hole in the top ), some kind of foliage , alphabet printing blocks with ink , music sheet paper.
E'necessario : 4 formine (fai un piccolo foro per passare il nastrino ) , un po di foglime per fare ghirlande ;timbri e inchiostro ,carta .

 Cut the paper in a round to fit the tin. Print out the words required with the ink.Glue in place as shown above. Make a small garland from the foliage ( fake or you could use some spruce ).Glue with hot glue gun into place.
Taglia la carta per inserire dentro le formine.Timbrare sopra le parole con l'inchiostro. Incolla ( vedi foto ).Crea una piccola ghirlanda con fogliame ( finto o puo anche usare un po di abete). Attaccare con la colla.

Here are my 4 tins ready to add the finishing touch.As you can see in the first photo I added some ribbon, lace , and a little heart.
Ecco i miei 4 formine ...pronto per il tocco finale.Comè vedete nella prima foto ..ho aggiunto un po di nastro, pizzo , e un piccolo cuoricino.

XMAS STOCKING

This is my latest addition to add to my other christmas stockings.The design is one of " yukos" http://casamiainitalia.com/ . She has offered us the design as a freebie...so if you like it go and visit her beautiful blog...you won't be dissapointed......she is just so amazing...  I used a bit of Toile de jouy to make the stocking. Mine is a bigger version than hers' because I wanted to use up some aida cross stitch canvas that was going spare, but I hope to make a smaller version with some old white linen.The final touch was that I added an old cream colour buckle threaded onto some red ribbon..... now I shall just have to wait a few more days before deciding where to hang it.
Questa calza e stata ricamata con un free di http://casamiainitalia.com/ .Io ho usato un pezzo di tela aida ecru e un po di stoffa Toile de jouy. La combinazione sembrava carina.Poi ho aggiunto una vecchia fibbia infilato su un nastro rosso....soltanto per renderlo diversa.. La versione di Yuko è ancora piu bella....Lei è veramente brava e molto precisa e perfetta in ogni cosa che fa......se non la conosci vai subito a visitarla......vedrai delle meraviglie.....

MR.FROSTY

Doesn't he look jolly awaiting snowflakes.Instead of doing cross stitch I found this adorable material already designed with snowmen. Couldn't wait to start sewing.....I knew as soon as I saw the material that it would make lovely hearts.
Per guadagnare tempo invece di ricamare ho comprato la stoffa già stampata con questi omini di neve.Ho realizzato questi cuori.....veramente simpatiche.

AUGURI.....GREETINGS

How about this to brighten up the front door for Christmas.This one is written in Italian ......but if I was to make one written in English the equivalent would be " GREETINGS ".I shall be making one for my Mom for her front door.I usually make a couple to give to people at christmas but I have also made a couple for my market stall next Sunday here in Italy.
Un idee per una porta. Il focco é ricamato su bordo alto 10 cm éun disegno che adoro.Infatti ogni anno faccio un paio per regalare a nuovi amici e quest'anno ne ho fatti anche un paio per il mio mercatino prossima Domenica vicino casa mia. Appeso alla porta ha un effetto davvero incantevole.

SIMPLY SWEET

A little early I suppose .....but I just wanted to show you these little stockings I made for xmas...so sweet and they take no time at all to make.No need to get out the sewing machine ....these are hand sewn in blanket stitch with the filling added as you stitch along. Then add some ribbon to hang ,a bow and some fancy ribbon to your choice....and there you have it.

I added this heart ribbon with polka dots .It's amazing what a bit of fancy ribbon can do.

Another simple idea using felt , fancy braid .All hand stitched with blanket stitch .
Qualche idea semplice per fare piccoli calzini e cuore per natale. Non è neccesario tirare fuori la macchina da cucire perchè sono fatto tutto a mano . Ci vuole un po di panno lenci , nastri , immbotitura. Ho cucito tutto intorno con il  punto festone. .....sembra un gioco da bambina...cosi semplice.....non vedo ora di appendere le calzini sul albero di natale.
