PATCHWORK and BOOKS

 A glimpse of some pretty patches I am working on....all will be revealed shortly hopefully within the next week or two.  Amongst these patches is an old shirt of mine, a childs dress that I cut up, another shirt ,a bit of Tilda and some little scraps given to me by an old aunt of my husbands'.
Questo è un piccolo assagio di un lavoro che voglio portare al termine questa settimana....spero.Fra i piccoli patch c'è un vestito di una bambina ,un paio di camicie mie, qualche pezzetto di Tilda e pezzetti di stoffa recuperato da una Zia di mio marito.

SPICE UP YOUR KITCHEN

 Finished rosemary and laurel sachets. Written in french which I adore , something new to add to my kitchen.There are a couple more that I want to do , sage and thyme.
Un paio di sacchetti per rosmarino e alloro d'appendere in cucina.La scritta è in francese che mi piace moltissimo. Ci sono ancora un paio che vorrei fare per salvia e timo.

 I added the R ribbon as an extra and a couple of vintage green buttons to this one.
Ho aggiunto il nastro R per dare un tocco in piu e un paio di bottoni verde vintage.

Here I added the L ribbon and red vintage buttons.
Per questo ho aggiunto il nastro L e bottoni rossi vintage.

LATEST BARGAIN

 It was love at first sight....I wasn't looking for a piece of furniture...but...in a second hand market  I saw this...could be useful I thought......for books....dinner services....linen.. Seems to be very sturdy with its wooden shelves......
In un nuovo mercatino dell'usato ho visto questo mobili che subito volevo comprarlo.....anche se non avevo neanchè in mente di comprare quel giorno un mobili del genere...Ma pensando potevo essere molto utili...per tutti miei libri....servizi di piatti...biancheria di casa..Sembra molto robusto con le mensole di legno.

Now I have to decide to paint it or not. My first idea was to give it a shabby chic look using a creamy white paint but I quite like the way it looks as it is...what would you do ?
Adesso devo decidere di lasciare il colore naturale o di dare un tocco shabby con la vernice bianco panna...cosa devo fare....avete qualche consiglio ?

At the weekend I will have to find the right place for it ...then to fill it up.
Questo weekend avro tempo di trovare essatamento il posto giusto di tenerlo...poi a riempirlo.....

MRS. TABITHA TWITCHIT

Isn't she lovely....and she has such an important name.....I love her.
Lei è molto carina.....con un nome cosi molto importante.....l'adoro.

 The colours are very bright...making her very attractive...as she prepares to bathe her three little kittens.
 I colori sono molto invitanti....rendendo lei molto bella....in preparazione di fare il bagnetto ai suoi 3 gattini.

 This is a book picked up here in Italy in a second hand market....the porcelain statue is actually Mrs T.T     which I have had about 20 years......
Il libro ho trovato qui in Italia in un mercatino e la statuetta è proprio chiamato Mrs. Tabitha Twitchit che ho avuto piu o meno 20 anni .

IN THE FRAME

 Unbelievable but....I have finally framed this little cross stitch beauty. It's been lying around calling to be framed for the past two years.....to some miracle it just fitted nice in this simple frame to which I stuck on these corner garlands.....and hey presto.....voila!

Dopo un paio di anni adesso posso ammirare questo piccolo ricamo finalmente incorniciato.Il ricamo è rimasto un paio di anni abbandonato in un cassetto ma per fortuna questa cornice semplice era la misura giusto per il lavoro. Ho semplicemente incollato queste due ghirlande negli angoli per dare un tocco in più romantica......

SAMPLER.......

It's been a long time in the making but......I am happy to say that finally I have put the last stitch on this sampler. In the past I might of sewn this maybe in a week or two but this time I think I lost interest and had lots of other projects on the go as well.
Felice di aver messo l'ultimo punto a un lavoro comminciato mese fa.....comè sono contenta.Forse avevo perso un po la voglia di ricamare .....era forse troppo impegnativa....e poi avevo mille altri lavori in corso.

 Can't wait to get it framed and see it hanging on the wall.
 Non vedo l'ora di appenderlo al muro...ma prima devo incorniciarlo.

I loved stitching the alphabet...which I chose to do in a shade lighter .
L'alfabeto era ricamato con un filo piu chiaro.

 It was worth all those hours xstitching......an heirloom of the future.
 Soddisfazione 100%.......

 Here we are with another TILDA....who could resist.......I chose to use the smaller pattern.

Finalmente ho trovato posto giusto per un paio di piccoli charms..

GARLAND....GHIRLANDA

 This is one of those projects that I have been wanting to make for ages but never got round to doing.......so yesterday I dedicated most of the time in making this Garland....a kind of patchwork .....I chose these soft colours but I was tempted to make one using reds......I suppose I shall do a second one.

 Questo era un vecchio progetto che finalmente Ieri ho completato......una ghirlanda patchwork. Ho usato questo abbinamento di colori tenue , anche se avevo voglia di fare uno rosso. Faro un altro con i rossi.

 A glimpse of the bird cage and birdy things.Actually the garland has the same yellowy colours.

 Un occhiata alla mia gabbia giallino e qualche uccellini .

 Here she is at last.....hot off the old sewing machine......minutes ago... I present to you my first Tilda angel.
Ecco la mia prima Tilda Angel....finito pochi minuti fa.....

Now I need to find a home for her......shall she go in the bedroom or the kitchen.....decisions..decisions...

Finally got my hands on a copy of this wonderful magazine. ....falling in love again with all thats American country. I bought it direct from Quiltmania .It's written in french although I am pretty sure they do an English version.So if you are interested go and check it out......enjoy....
Finalmente ho aquistato una copia di questa meravigliosa rivista......da Quiltmania.Scritto in francese ma sono sicuro anche versione inglese. Molto belle gli immagini american country.....
