PATCHWORK & SHOPPING

Finally finished my patchwork cushion all hand sewn together...it took many hours to sew almost 200 hexagon shapes together but I think it was worth all the hours.

All sorts of material bits were used....including some Tilda and Laura Ashley.

 SHOPPING.....So happy that today a parcel arrived from the Netherlands from a shop called Atelier Steekjes & Kruisjes .

COUNTRY

There is some kind of attraction that brings me back to cross stitch country style....like the little jam pots I made in a previous post......hearts, bees,angels,sunflowers,alphabets....it all adds up to country. Plus I was able to use up once again all those left over bits of cottons.

ENGLISH BUYS

Royal Albert teacups...this one is for a friend whos Birthday is in February.

A Buckingham Palace china mug. Amazing that I found it at a carboot sale.What would the Queen think ....

 Sweet little porcelain posies and a lovely brooch.

I fell in love with this cup for its tapestry pattern,,,even if the saucer is missing.

Some Wedgwood for people I know that collect it.

COUNTRY

 Country designs came to mind for my little jam jars. Nice to work on without loosing too much time stitching .I have quite a few more jars to do and its a great way to use up some of the discarded threads that have become muddled into a whopping great bundled mess.

EMBROIDERY

So simple to make and a way to use up some of the charms that I have bought in the past. I made this yesterday evening and today it has found its place on my sewing shelf. If you want to make this just click Elisa for the free pattern.   Happy sewing.

SEA SHELLS

What a lovely collection ........starfish  ....  seahorses  ....and shells. I really enjoyed making these especially the shells and I think the seahorses are quite unique with their curly tails. These were made following instructions from the Tilda book  " Sew Sunny homestyle".  Her new book which I have pre-ordered from Amazon will be arriving in early June is called " Tilda's Seaside Ideas " can't wait to see it.
 Mi piace molto questo collezioni di conchiglie. Specialmente i cavalli marini sono stupendi. Era un lavoro molto piacevole da. cucire. BUTTONS & BOWS

With all the old buttons I possess I finally used a few to adorn these beauty bags. The blue one comes from an idea from Tilda and the red one I made up as it came along. Considering it was my first attempt of putting in zips I was quite pleased with the result.

Sono abbastanza contenta con il lavoro di queste due borsette....considerando che non ho mai inserito una cerniera in vita mia. la borsetta blu e stata realizato seguendo l'idea di Tilda.
